Brian Alberts and Associates was founded by Brian Alberts in 1996. From the start he embraced and enhanced the changes democracy had brought about.
The practice offers expert advice and experience in conveyancing, property law, the registration of Nedbank bonds, Standard Bank bond cancellations as well as the administration of deceased estates.

Rakgama Andries Manoko
Director
Mr. Manoko completed his B.Proc Degree at the University of the North in 1989 and sealed his profession with an LLB degree from the same university. Mr. Manoko specializes in criminal matters, third-party claims, labour law matters, and civil matters. He strives to offer and provide our clients with reliable solutions to matters and offers advice where needed using the many years of experience he has gained.

Ernest Malan
Director
Ernest obtained his B.Proc degree at the Rand Afrikaans University (now UJ), in 1998. After serving his articles he was admitted and enrolled as an attorney in 2003. He then obtained right of appearance in the High Court in 2009 and in the same year was admitted as a member of AIPSA (Association of Insolvency Practitioners of Southern Africa). Ernest was appointed as a director of Brian Alberts in 2021.

Bonita Bekker
Director
Bonita is one of our firm’s directors. She is passionate about the legal field and started working life as a conveyancing secretary. She has a Unisa LLM (Master of Law) degree after obtaining her LLB degree also though UNISA and and has been admitted both as an attorney and as a conveyancer. She is an expert in all matters relating to conveyancing and the property sector.

Felicia du Plessis
Manager
Felicia runs the company’s internal and external resources and develops and implements procedures. She is flexible and handles all situations as they arise. Nothing throws her. This multitasker has her finger on the pulse and also heads up the marketing department.

Carla Cato
Financial Manager
Carla runs the Finance Department at Brian Alberts as well as being Managing Partner. She has built up her knowledge and experience in the legal field having grown up watching her father, Brian Alberts at work. Carla is proficient in all things numbers and strategies which is vital part of our work. She is also passionate about the family business and her clients.

Tanya Marnewick
Senior Conveyancing Secretary
Tanya has over 15 years of experience in the legal field. There is no such thing as a surprise transfer for her. Tanya comes with a wealth of experience and knowledge. She specializes in transfers, deceased estate transfers, and Nedbank bond registrations and is an expert in distressed sales. Tanya is a peoples’ person and has built a lucrative client database over the years. She is an asset to our team.

Annelize Meyer
Senior Conveyancing Secretary
Annelize has worked in the property legal sector for over 18 years. She is a perfectionist in everything that she does. There is simply nothing that Annelize cannot do as she specialises in all types of transfers. Annelize has an impressive knowledge of the conveyancing processes. She believes that every client is important and not just a number in a system. She has worked at a number of conveyancing firms, in pursuance of honing her expertise. Annelize joined the Brian Alberts & Associates team in 2020 and is flourishing in her position.

Sanita van Wyk
Senior Conveyancing Secretary
With experience in transfers, bonds, and bond cancellations. She also had the pleasure of attending to new Developments as well. She enjoys working with clients and making the transfer process as easy as possible for them. She believes that anything can be achieved through hard work and dedication, and she appreciates every client’s unique needs while handling all matters with professionalism and efficiency. Sanita will always go above and beyond for our clients because of her giving, understanding, and accommodating kind personality. She believes in diversity, equal rights, and inclusivity in all aspects of life.

Shamyra Moonsamy
Estate Administration & Estate Planning
Started her legal journey at the University of KwaZulu Natal and is currently completing her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree at UNISA. She is experienced in the administration of deceased estates and assists clients with the drafting of Wills. She provides expert advice and guidance to all of her clients. Shamyra is dedicated to her job and brings
immense value to the team.

Petronella Molefe
Receptionist/ Public Relationship and Marketing assistant
Petronella started at Brian Alberts and Associates in 2008. Prior to this, she has been involved in the property sector for more years than we can count. She knows the ins and outs of this business like the palm of her hand. Petronella is friendly and is always smiling. She is your first point of contact and will immediately make you feel at ease and comfortable.

Anche Maritz
Conveyancing Professional Assistant
Anche has held many administrative positions in a variety of fields, but conveyancing is her passion. She has completed her level 1 training in the Conveyancing for Secretaries’ course from the Gawie le Roux Institute of Law. She aspires to complete the entire conveyancing secretary’s course. Anche loves her job and all the challenges it brings. She enjoys interacting with her clients and ensuring that all her clients are happy. Anche joined the Brian Alberts team in 2021 and looks forward to climbing the corporate ladder.

Charney Reyneke
Junior Conveyancing Secretary
Charney is a conveyancing secretary who specialises in both transfers and bond cancellations. She has completed level 1 and level 2 of the conveyancing for secretaries’ course. She enjoys meeting new people and guiding her clients through the whole transfer process. Her ability to patiently explain the steps involved in the transfer process to her clients is admirable and results with her clients being put at ease and stress free.
